Our Goals

We hope that upon leaving Hampaté Bâ, our students will be able to:

  • Read and write clearly and coherently, communicate efficiently, count, analyse, synthesize, reason logically, question wisely, and think morally and critically.

  • Recognize the oneness of humanity in all its diversity, appreciate ethical global and cultural values, study and work in international settings, while not losing the love for and the appreciation of their own cultural identity.

  • Understand the concepts of truthfulness, trustworthiness, equity, justice, rights and responsibilities, and feel concerned about questions linked to these notions.

  • Work cooperatively, resolve conflicts, look for consensus, welcome emotions, deal with uncertainty and changes, express opinions, attitudes and feelings taking into account their own well being as well as that of others.

  • Get involved creatively in their communities while making the link between the local and the global, the past and the present, and them and the others.

  • Know and appreciate the value of the cultural and natural heritage of planet earth in order to better preserve it
